The City of Stuart has hired Riznick Construction for the construction of the Colorado Avenue Business District Improvements. The project is scheduled to begin sometime the week of July 30, 2012. The construction timeline for completion is 120 days.
You, the business owner, are our first priority in this project. The City of Stuart, Riznick Construction, and CAPTEC
Engineering are aware of the sensitivity of the project and are working together to ensure it goes smoothly. All construction activities impacting access to businesses are scheduled to take place after 7 p.m. We appreciate your patience leading up to the start of construction and hope you will continue to bear with us until the project is complete.
Please be aware that one of the first order of business will be milling Colorado Avenue which will alter traffic patterns. We will provide signage to ensure the entrance to your business is clearly marked and accessible throughout construction.
We plan to provide you with updates like this one on a monthly basis—or as often as needed—throughout construction. If you have any questions about the project at any time, please feel free to call us. Contact information for both the CRA and the project engineer is in the top left corner of this notice.
This project is a Community Redevelopment Project, using Community Development Block Grant funds. The improvements
include, landscaping, streetscaping, decorative lighting, a round-a-bout at Martin Luther Kind Jr. Blvd., milling and resurfacing of the road, and brick pavers throughout the project.
