“Of course we are watching the weather, but we anticipate Hurricane Irene will have passed through the area by Saturday and that everyone will be ready to come out for an old-fashioned good time in the streets of Downtown Stuart,” said Main Street Manager, Thondra Lanese.
Dancin’ in the Streets was established in 1987 to promote downtown Stuart, its restaurants and shops as a great year round destination. Today the event has grown to include eight bands on four stages, a host of family-friendly activities including a car show, skateboard ramp, and multiple children’s areas, international food, vendors, and a wine garden. Admission is just $10 for the festival, which runs from 6-12 p.m. throughout downtown on Osceola Street, and Flagler, St. Lucie, and Colorado Avenues. Children 12 and under are free.
