Martin County is considering permanently moving all or part of its Constitutional Offices to a site at Willoughby Boulevard and Indian Street. We at Stuart Main Street feel this move will be detrimental to our mission, which is to preserve and enhance Stuart’s historic downtown as Martin County’s center of government and commerce.
The City of Stuart is working to reach an alternative with the County to keep these offices in Downtown Stuart, where they would continue to have a positive, long-term impact on businesses and redevelopment in the area.
A joint City and County Commission meeting to discuss this matter will be held on Monday, Dec. 6 at 9 a.m. at the Flagler Park Recreation Center, 201 S.W. Flagler Ave.
We urge you to come to this meeting and express your support for keeping all or at least part of the County’s Constitutional Offices in Historic Downtown Stuart.
