The City of Stuart Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) today announced the winner of its quarterly Business Buzz Award. Luna Italian Cuisine, a fixture in downtown Stuart for over 20 years, will be recognized at Coffee with the City Manager Wednesday, May 23 at 8:00 a.m. at the Lyric Flagler Center, 201 SW Flagler Avenue in Downtown Stuart. The local business will receive the award in a formal presentation at the breakfast event. The Business Buzz Award is given quarterly to a buzzworthy Stuart business. Complimentary coffee, juice and breakfast treats will be served.
The event will also feature updates on current projects within the CRA, including the recent completion of roadway improvements on East Ocean, the upcoming painting of the Old Roosevelt Bridge, preliminary plans for the City’s 100th Anniversary Celebration, and an update on this summer’s Colorado Avenue Streetscape project.
Coffee with the City Manager is hosted by the City of Stuart CRA. “This is an opportunity for different groups in the CRA to get together, network, learn about the CRA, and share what’s happening in their community,” said CRA Administrator Teresa Lamar-Sarno. “There’s only one rule – good news only!”
The City of Stuart Community Redevelopment Agency was created in 1986 to eliminate slum and blighted conditions in its communities and re-established and expanded in 1998 and 2002. The CRA is directed by the Community Redevelopment Board (CRB) and implements the objectives, programs and projects defined in the CRA Plan adopted by the City of Stuart in August 2002. The CRB meets the first Tuesday of every month at 4:00 in the City Hall Chambers at 121 SW Flagler Avenue, Stuart. For more information, please visit www.cityofstuart.us.
